Meerkats

Our meerkats came into our care in 2018, after a private collector could no longer look after them. Meerkats are always busy, entertaining and very inquisitive animals; Our mob are no exception. They spend the day working as a team, taking it in turns to keep a look out (to make sure the coast is clear) whilst the others are busy digging and searching for food. When the day is done they snuggle down together for the night under their heat lamp.

Their favourite foods are crickets and mealworms.

Their individual personalities and busy ways make them so interesting to observe and work with. Our intention is not to promote meerkats as pets; they are far from the ideal pet and sadly due to the pet trade many are kept in less than ideal situations.
